Is king queen suited a good hand?
King queen suited is one of the strongest hands that does not contain an ace, an easy open from every seat that flops top pairs, flushes, and straights.
King Queen Suited
StrongOpen it from anywhere and re-raise it freely as a hand that plays well on a huge number of flops. It makes two strong top pairs, the second-nut flush, and broadway straights, so it keeps making strong hands and good draws. The only real soft spot is running into ace king or a big pair when the money goes in early, but it is rarely a big underdog even then.
This hand opens for a raise from every position, including under the gun.
Common mistake: Folding it too readily to aggression. King queen suited has too much flop potential to give up cheaply just because it does not hold an ace.
Quick tip: The best non-ace hand there is. Top pairs, flushes, and straights from one holding.
