King jack suited is a solid hand you open from every seat, making strong top pairs, flushes, and broadway straights, while staying alert to domination by the better kings.
King Jack Suited
PlayableOpen it from anywhere and call raises in position where it can flop big and realize its equity. It makes the king-high flush, it makes broadway, and top pair with a jack kicker is a real hand on many boards. The caution is the same as with most king-x hands: against heavy action it can be dominated by ace king and king queen, so do not get carried away.
This hand opens for a raise from every position, including under the gun.
Common mistake: Playing it like a premium out of position. King jack suited wants to flop flushes and straights in position, not bloat pots with a marginal top pair.
