What are the pot odds on a half-pot bet?
A half-pot bet lays you 3-to-1, so you need about 25% equity to call.

When the pot is 100 and your opponent bets 50, you are risking 50 to win 150, which is 3-to-1. Turn that into a percentage and you need to win at least a quarter of the time to break even. Most flush draws and open-ended straight draws clear this easily.
