Is queen jack suited a good hand?

Queen jack suited is a playable, connected broadway hand you open from every seat, strong because it makes flushes and straights as well as top pairs.

Open it from anywhere and call raises in position. It is one of the more connected broadway hands, so it flops straight draws and open-enders to go with its flush draws and top pairs. That connectedness is what lets it keep barreling and realize its equity, especially when you have position to apply pressure on later streets.

This hand opens for a raise from every position, including under the gun.

Common mistake: Stacking off with a non-nut top pair on a coordinated board. Queen jack makes a lot of second-best hands, so a single pair is not always worth a big pot.

Quick tip: A connector and a broadway hand in one. Draws plus top pairs make it easy to keep betting.
